  eight years ago before simon changed over to this site, i was known as blueblades.

  i mentioned back then 7/21/03 that i was diagnosed as having a narrow aortic valve.

  well, the time has come to update all my friends back then and now.

  Thanks guys and girls. Operation will take between 4-6 hours. Hospital stay about 4 days. It will be done at Lehigh Valley Pa. My surgeon is Raymond Singer. Dr. Singer's Web Site is www.heartlungdoc.com. He has a video on how the surgery is done etc.

  Again to all of you...Scully, Tresdecu, Panhandlegirl, Open Mind, A Guest, Designs, Talesin, Palmtree67, Blues Brother, Shamus 100, Lv 101, Snowbird and all of you others, thank you for responding.

  Eight years ago before Simon changed over to this site, I was known as Blueblades. I mentioned back then 7/21/03 that I was diagnosed as having a narrow aortic valve. Well, the time has come to update all my friends back then and now. I will be having open heart surgery this thursday 6/21/12. I am getting a new valve, it will be a tissue Bovine valve ( cow ). It supposed to last from 10 to 15 years. I'm 67 now.

  I am sorry because I don't want to hurt your feeling and your beliefs. Evidence for God in this topic is based on your own circular reasoning. Think about this being told us from any other religious spiritual person other than your own conclusions. Which one would have evidence for God in their own life experience totally opposite to yours.

  Here is one for you. There are known knowns,and unknowns and sometimes we have to leave at that.

  have you ever seen people who just constantly read.

  they read at every given opportunity, at the gym, on the bus and train, at the beach, all weekend, even while holidaying overseas they mostly just read.

  you even see them going down the street holding a book while walking, like some kind of zombie.

  No it is not. The great libraries of the world have all the disciplines and histories of mankind collected in them. Many books have helped all kinds of people to stimulate their minds. Just think of the fields there are out there from A to Z. Of cause all things in moderstion, however, I do not agree with your thinking that reading is over-rated.
